does anyone else get frustrated with the voting system?

please note this isnt meant to sound bratty or anything and i apologize if it sounds that way lol

does anyone else get frustrated with the voting system? i feel like it doesn't really do anything. it honestly sucks when new patterns are uploaded, but so many other patterns with a lot of votes get ignored. my main point is that i would rather some patterns just get not approved instead of being stuck in pending limbo.

i dont mean to sound conceited but i have over a dozen pending patterns with 100+ votes :,< my old patterns get left behind, and sometimes they just get blatantly ignored despite meeting all requirements to get approved. ironically, my patterns that DO get approved usually have very little votes (around 30-ish) :p

i have a LOT of patterns uploaded to my page, and i couldnt care less that not every single one has been accepted. but when theres clearly an audience that wants to see one of my patterns published, its a shame that it never becomes easily accessible to them :-(

also, no shade to the admins. I can't imagine how difficult it is to moderate so many patterns and I'm grateful for all the work you put into this site. i just think it would be beneficial to tweak the approval system so that popular patterns actually get to see the light of day. certainly there's gotta be a way to keep it more organized

@PEPBUTTZ: you said it better than i did lmao, and i'm glad someone understands. i was worried about coming off bratty or ungrateful because i completely understand that the mods have other things to do other than the site, and i am so so grateful for everything they do, but at the same time i can't help but feel disapointed

I'm seeing this too, but with a lot of duplicate patterns. I feel like people don't know if one already exists and just vote for it and then we end up with like three of the same pattern and the new/ original patterns that get a lot of votes just get pushed back into pages where no one is going to go to so they wont even see them.

(this is not at all aimed at the admins its a commentary on how users don't check if a similar pattern already exists to what they're making or just make a lazy pattern so good ones never get seen and it makes the decision process that much more difficult)

I've been using this site even before you could vote for what patterns got approved so I'm just voicing what I've noticed since it began.

Side note : I check the new pattern uploads daily and make copies of the ones I like and catalog them in a folder so if they never get approved or fall into limbo and they become difficult to find I will still be able to use them easily. I recommend others do this too and if they end up making it , crediting the user so that other people can easily find the pattern too.

Yea I have the same problem a lot of my patterns have 50+ votes and are completely original but I see a lot of copied patterns getting aproved.

OK AFTER I LOOKED AT THIS I WENT TO THE VOTING POLL AND SORTED IT BY MOST VOTED AND THERE ARE SOME FROM 2016??!?!?!?@!>?2!>@!?>#@$>#@$>@?!#>!> I LOVE THE ADMIN SM /P BUT ALSO I FEEL LIKE IF IT HAS 200+ VOTES THAT MEANS ITS FINE???
