Anyone with experience using seed beads?

I recently got a HUGE collection of seed beads (the really tiny beads) from a neighbor who was getting rid of her collection. I’d like to use them to make kandi-style designs but smaller… for example, I think I could use them to make rotator rings using the same patterns as rotator cuffs with pony beads! If anyone has experience using these for kandi-style stitches, what string do you use? It seems most seed bead strings aren’t elastic, and I’m a little worried about that. Also, do you have any other tips for working with them?

I think ideally you'd want something that isn't quite as thick as regular Kandi elastic, but that still has a little bit of give, especially if they're going to be worn. I reckon the tiny little beads may be pretty different to what you're used to but with determination I'm sure you can do it!! Best of luck kao happy

I tried this and I find that a wire that fits the seed beads work well.

this string isnt too horrible in terms of elastic stretchy string and worked well with my seed beads. not sure how it holds up to dry rot long term but it appears to hold up better than other plastic string ive used in my experience https://www.michaels.com/product/rainbow-stretch-cording-by-creatology-10671609

@Howlzr: This is definitely the kind of thing I have in mind but I’m not sure where I’d find it. I have beading needles and unless I use wire (which isn’t much thinner than the needle anyway) I’ll need to be able to thread it through the tiny little eye of them, so it has to be super thin! Thanks

@XEmo_TrashX: I’m glad to hear that, I do have some so I will give it a try! Do you know how to tie it off? I suspect it would be hard to just tie a standard knot with wire

Dollar stores often have a pretty wide variety of different kinds of string for craft projects, so that might be a good idea! Failing that, some online stores also have a good amount too :3
