Is it just me or has kandi gotten less popular

I've noticed a huge drop in popularity since I got into making kandi in early 2021, just wondering if anyone else here has noticed it too... 5148b4b6a7545_mariocar.gif

@dont_ask_jeeves: same bro, i just kinda stop doin' it sometimes whenever i'm runnin' low on supplies since i don' get new beads n' stuff often XD

I think part of what happens is that the really cool/intricate cuffs are just incredibly time consuming (not to mention making perlers) and now that we're out of the pandemic I find that I rarely have the time to just sit down and create stuff sad

@dont_ask_jeeves: same, i got super busy last year so i didnt have the time to make any kandi, but now that im unemployed and out of school i have literally nothing better to do

Stuff just kinda gets more or less popular over time, it happens, but kandi seems like something that will never fully die out : D, there will probably be a new wave of popularity in a few years

In my almost 3 years of making it, ive maybe had like 10 people recognize my kandi

kandi in general is kind of an obscure thing. I've only been into it for 3+ years but I've not met a lot of people irl who also like it. I have noticed a lot of kids recently making "friendship bracelets" which is sort of similar to kandi, which makes me happy to see! It was something I bonded with a kid I babysat over.
