Some people find fabric covered elastic easier, others find crystal stretch elastic easier. Try both and see what you like (just know crystal stretch is more prone to snapping)

start off with basic colours and then branch out from there when you want to, I started with a box of colours and then went from there as I ran out of colours and did more patterns.

Have fun! mistakes are OK to make and can be cool anyway

Funky bead shapes/sizes can make singles look so epic

if you use elastic string seal the knot w nail glue (i recemmend 'Kiss Nail Glue' o use w my nails & they do ot clme off @ all)

@False_g0d: Or if you don't do nails, e6000 is great.

if you try something new dont give up on it

i tried making something when i first started out and then i stopped cuz i thought it was too hard but it will seem hard at first and usually once you make something one time it will seem way easier every time after

if you use clear string, be aware that it could rot in a few years, so make sure to re-string stuff made with clear string every year or so!
if you wanna do cuffs, I recommend learning x-bases first! they're suuper easy, and you can make all types of things with x-bases!

@clyde_infestation: i tried to do an x base but I kept messing up and so I destroyed it

@W0rm_onAstrng: awh sorry abt that!! dw tho, you'll learn how to do it soon. you should try peyote stitch/charms if you haven't already, i think they're pretty easy

for tutorials i reccomend mood kandi on youtube (and tiktok? idk i dont have access to tiktok) and slackerstragedy also on youtube and tiktok, there are many many different ppl who give tutorials (such as Ginger Kand-E, KandiToyBox, and TurboBeads) but i tend to gravitate towards mood kandi and slackerstragedy much more :]
