Ramadan is soon and I was wondering if there was anyone else was going to fast <3

i am very interested in studying religion, i think ramadan is quite a cool holiday and i hope you enjoy it! (could you remind me abt what is about) (also i hope you find some other ppl here who are going to fast

@elololololololo: Thanks! ramadan is a fast that lasts for 30 days. I cannot eat or drink after fajr (at 6:00) to maghrib (18:00). When Eid Al-Fitr comes, which is the last day of ramadan, there's a huge celebration. I already have my outfit picked out haha

I'm a bit uneducated when it comes to some cultures/religions. What exactly is Ramadan and how is it celebrated? /gen

@GoldenSnailz_: Ramadan is a holiday in Islam where muslims all around the world fast for 30 days! it starts at fajr (6:00) and ends at maghrib (18:00) every day until Eid Al-Fitr, which is the 30th day. Eid (which is Eid Al-Fitr for short) is a huge celebration after the fast.

@boogiewoogie: Oh wow! So, if you don't mind my asking (i'm just trying to clarify), do you eat during that period between 6 and 18? I'm sorry if that's disrespectful, i'm just trying to get a better understanding
