scenecore isnt scene, but it could be its own thing. why does it have to leech of the wonderful scene aesthetic 7w7

I like both aesthetics because they embrace color fullness and creativity etc but scenecore aesthetic was taken from the original scene and scenecore became its thing in 2021. THATS like a small little problem with scenecore. But having similarities to scene, scenecore does have

I think scenecore is kind of its own thing with it being heavily tied to other "core" aesthetics like glitchcore/kidcore, but some people do muddy the line quite a bit which bugs me just a bit. I understand because its scenecore it takes some aesthetics from scene but theyre almost always only at face value

I completely agree and as a member of the "scenecore" aesthetic, I think we should change the name

it's not scene, but i think a lot of people gatekeeping what is and isn't scene is really toxic /nbh /nm

(from an ex-scene kid. that's part of why I left the subculture)

i think scenecore is kind of a watered down new version of og scene fashion. my friends and i actually call scenecore neoscene since it's a newer younger version of og scene and i think it fits pretty well

i dont dislike scenecore/neoscene folks but i dont appreciate the way a lot of them act like being scene is some new thing.. yes it has been sort of reinvented but it's not fully new. also a lot of scenecore kids are younger (11-12) so they don't fully understand what being scene is yet so we should probably b nicer to them i was 11 when i thought i was scenecore and it was right when i had first discovered kandi and i didnt know being just scene was a thing so..
