coming from a transmasc asher:

why is every transmasc or nonb person named ash or asher

am i the only person noticing this?

my dad hates it but he can suck it up cuz hes transphobic

esp for transmasc nb ppl, i think it's just a good masc-leaning neutral name! my little sister has a friend named ash. I actually considered the name ash or asher for a while when i was first exploring my gender (ended up going by benji instead!!)

I notice that but instead with the name kai, but I also do know a transmasc guy named ash now that I think abt it laugh

yeah i’ve noticed a lot of transmasc and nonbinary people named Ash, Oliver, or something like Noahmariocar

i have no clue, but same thing with the name max! thats my name n i have a few transmasc/nb friends named max too

I don't know why those names are so common. I also know 1-2 transfems who have some variation of Ash as their name. I know a lot of people with the same or similar names. I know 4 Lilys 2 of them trans, and I know 7 people who's names are some form of Alex (3 trans), I also know 3 transmascs who's names are all some form of Theo. So I don't know. probably certain names seem good to people. It's like in school where there are like 4 Micheals and 5 Charlies because their parents thought those were nice names for their children.

i know literally 14 people whos names/nicknames are ash/asher and 3 of them arent even trans
