Why do so many people sign with their nickname?

Why so so many people sign with their nickname at the back? Like unless your account is being shared by multiple people i dont get it. Business emails i get too but yall this is a website for bead patterns.

@timaeusTestified: yeah, its something you HAVE to be a system to have an opinion on, and even then i can say pretty confidently that most if not all systems will say its not harmful, even if they dont sign off themselves - algae

for us, it's because we're a system!!

it's often unwelcoming/weird to be called a different alters name/have different pronouns be used on you, so we all sign off, just so people know like, hey! I'm a different person! please call me this name and use these pronouns! <3 - kuno (she/they/it/leaf)

hi .
ppl have had reoccurring trauma befroe the age of 9 (i believe its 9? i cant remember. but its a young age) which causes them to split. ppl on here feel it is a safespace for them and their system because people are . very rude offline. and yes, some ppl fake it. but that doesnt mean everyone is.
