The Butterfly Project <3

Have you ever heard of the Butterfly Project? (If not the picture explains what it is) I'm trying for the third time. But today I snapped and killed my butterflies...All 10 of them. I just want to know if anyone else is/has done this and if it helped you or you gave up. I don't want to give up but it's so hard. And it hurts knowing how many you've killed. <3

I myself haven't tried the butterfly project. I choose to write down the lyrics of whatever the most meaningful song I know on my wrists, giving the situation. It doesn't work for everyone unless you really love music. Even if you don't I'd recommend Sleeping with Sirens, Black Veil Brides, Three Days Grace, and Pierce the Veil. They really help me

I have tried the Butterfly project several times. I feel like they mean more if you put someones name on it or dedicate it to someone. At first i didnt do that and i killed them, but them i put someones name on it and it motivated me more not to kill them.

@TheSeekerAndTheSong Its just hard because I moved away from all my friends not to long ago and Since I'm home schooled and live on an tiny Air Force Base with NOBODY my age I havn't made friends and everyone I know is so far away

My boyfriend always draws mine and each time they get bigger, and more colorful, the fact that even though I keep killing them, the fact that he keeps drawing them and still has faith in me is what honestly keeps me going, we all need at lead one person to have faith in us, and idk if this helps but I have faith in you <(^-^)>

@TheSeekerAndTheSong Thats what I did. I named then all after someone I loved. How I got one of my butterflies was when I was walking through a store when a guy came up to me with a marker and drew a butterfly on my arm. Looking at his arm I notices scars...and butterflies. He kissed the butterfly and told me to hang in there. I took his marker and drew a butterfly on HIS arm and kissed it. Each of my butterfly has a different color and name, one of them is Aadam, the guy from the store. Each butterfly means so much to me and I don't want to kill the ones I love most. So when I finally did I broke down and locked myself in my room for two hours. I hate myself for it...

Never did this in my bad days, just took a rubber band and wore is all the time and when I wanted to cut id snap it on my rest, also would draw red lines in sharpie to symulate a cut (that didnt really help much at all)
