@TheMorticiansDaughter: I disagree with your view of "Kandi Raver" n "Kandi Kid". I go raving n I have not once ever been called a "Kandi Raver" everyone would look at you weird if you said that tbh where I am. We are only ever classified as Kandi Kids, a whole unit. Whether we rave or not we're all Kandi Kids under the rule of P.L.U.R. togepipichuwatermelon

I make kandi and don't rave, raves don't really get my attention. My sister goes to raves and making kandi does not get her attention at all. Its kind of funny.

I was kind of shocked to see the amount of people that don't go to raves on this site. To be honest. But I don't care one way or the other people can do what they want. But I understand where OP is coming from. I go to raves and make kandi, it's fun to trade and I love the music. kao tongue

to be honest any one can really make kandi its just a really fun thing to do! i don't have the interest of going to raves but i still make kandi. i find kandi is more of a hobby for me like something i do in my spare time. i know lots of people who make kandi and don't wanna go to raves

Personally, saying that only ravers can make kandi is like saying that only anime fans can watch Naruto. If you respect kandi for what it means and stands for than your just as much as a kandi kid as any raver. Also if theres reason as to why you cant rave, like parents, age or money, i dont see why ravers see these people as bad.

I'd like to go to a rave since it seems like fun from a friend's description of one. I just simply can't since I still live at home and my parents are uneasy with me going to one. Also, I just stumbled upon making kandi when I was looking for some peyote stitch ideas for seed beads. I have always liked to make jewelry in general so when I watched a kandi tutorial, it looked like a lot of fun. I've made plenty of kandi since and I a majority of people who receive it now are little kids who think my kandi looks cool. I've also made kandi for my friend who can go to raves. It just came naturally from my love of making jewelry I guess.

p.s this is one of those issues that I feel like people create such un needed negativity about (I don't mean you, you didn't say it in a mean or hurtful way just as a question) when people get all upset about wearing kandi but not attending raves, its just like when a kid I know FREAKED OUT at me because I bought Pod poi to learn with instead of learning with glow sticks before I bought any sort of led poi....why does it matter?!?!?! if I have the same love for these things and I have the same sense of love and community and and unity then none of that other nonsense should matter.
