What are your Autistic sensory issues?

Like most of my sensory stuff is really weird. Like towels make me want to cry, I’ve never been able to wear jeans, eating some frozen stuff, any type of socks besides the ones that I wear (I’ve been re-buying them for like 7 years), chewing sounds, even slightly dirty feeling hands mean I can’t even slightly function. More on the towels, if I touch a towel wrong I will come VERY close to screaming almost every time. People always treat it like it’s so dumb and I hate it, like bro please. Also a more normal one is I cannot STAND having hair in my face so when I’m having sensory overload I just want to shave my head because of how uncomfortable it is. And with the socks, if normal socks touch my feet, no they don’t because I would never let that happen. It makes me want to rip my hair out and scream. Uh yeah slay id

I can't really be anywhere there isnt a fan or any semblance of background noise (I have tinnitus so that only makes it worse), i have a lot of sensory issues with food (which people never ever believe its autism they always think its because im fat that I dont wanna eat it), I hate feeling hot and humid n stuff, I have no problem being cold, and those r like the biggest ones.

i will actually lose it if my hands are dry, but at the same time, i HAAATE having lotion on my hands. shrug

i hate the feeling of bedsheets against my hands or feet if theyre dry, so i always have socks on. i just hate my feet touching anything actually, i literally ALWAYS have socks on

i also absolutely HATE sudden loud noises, will shut me down every time, but it's different when im listening to music cus i listen to heavier stuff so idk lmao

Whistling. It genuinely hurts my ears so bad and people think that I just "don't like it" like no it makes me want to literally rip my hair out.

last year in biology people wouldn't stop whistling even after I asked them to stop so I just left the room. when I came back they started again. My friend yelled at them to all shut up because I was having an autistic meltdown and they only whistled louder

luckily, my bio teacher (I absolutely love her) yelled at everyone and threatened to suspend the next person who whistled.

people still whistle to bother me but it's a lot less intense

i have more but that's the main one

the feeling of tight jeans, i try to make them as loose as I could because I like how they look and they are casual, hair in my face, specifically my baby hairs I hate how they feel and they always touch my nose or eyelid i hate it sm, and to have like glue on my hands after a craft project I want to like rip off my fingertips cuz it bothers me sm, and loud sounds like for example balloons popping, and silverware like clashing with each other idk if that make sense, makes me cringe and hurts my ears a ton

when there's a squeaky chair, like idc what type of chair it is, but if it's squeaky.... i literally want to cry and throw up at the same time.

i can't handle the sound of people snapping. it just hurts my ears and makes me cringe.

i HATE the feeling of chalk. it makes me gag and it also makes my hands dry so it just makes everything worse.

i also have a few sensory issues with food but there's too many to count sadly... mainly tomatoes...

Also wearing a bra. Two or more sounds at the same time. Music in the morning. Microfiber and fleece. Bright lights. Sometimes I put my headphones on with no music and sit in the dark with my eyes closed to fix it....But I can hear my ears ringing because I had bad tendonitis. tbhChalk makes me freak out. Dry hands drive me nuts. People cracking their knuckles.

Lawn mowers and vacuums. I came out to a guy@#$%ing aerating my lawn on Tuesday, shouting and gesturing for him to STOP. Instead of turning the machine off, he walked across the street to his truck and brought back a piece of paper with a name and address on it. I pointed at my door, which has my address on it in very large reflective letters. The whole time I'm telling him to stop and leave he's grinning like he's done me a huge favor. "It's good for the lawn." "I DON'T CARE! TURN IT OFF! NOW! I HAVE PTSD!" "Well at least you don't have to pay for it." "YOU'RE DAMN RIGHT I'M NOT PAYING FOR IT! TURN! IT! OFF!" He thought all this was hilarious. shock

Anyway he finally left and I had a total terror meltdown, accompanied by extreme pain from having to remove and replace my back door the night before (long story) and spent the day in bed.

Faucets, sinks, and showers running. Kills my ears and I can't stand being in the same room as that sound for longer than 10 minutes or I lose it, it hurts so badly and I just need to go away. My ANC earbuds kinda help but not enough. I also cannot stand to have music and conversations happening at the same time. The most auditory input I can take at once is MAYBE two at a time. Like I can't do VC, movie, and game, I can only do two. Same with IRL, I cant stand talking in the car if theres music playing at all.

Food I eat has to be the same consistency in texture, like I can't have squishy stuff with normal stuff, so like if i take a bite of chicken and i bite into a softer part of it my entire appetite is gone and ruined and i dont want to eat anymore. I can't mix these foods its just wrong and I can't stand it. Crunchy and smooth is also a big "i hate that so much and i can no longer eat it", like crunchy peanut butter is the worst and gelatin with harder bits stink...

I hate wearing clothing, but I need to cuz u know, clothes. I can wear light and breathy clothing but a lot of polyesters and cottons are poopoo sensory wise...

On the topic of fabrics- velvets, microfibers, and some fleeces i can't touch or my head starts screaming at me as well as my fingers. Luckily I'm ok with silk or materials similar to silk so I can use like silk bedsheets. unfortunately I cant have wrinkles underneath me because its a nightmare I have to have all my sheets and cases neat and smooth and nice.

I can't have my hands be sticky, oily, wet, or too dry. I have to have them at a perfect level of moisture and cleanliness or else I can't function to grab stuff or work with anything with my hands. Worst case scenario I clean my fingertips and function like a crab just pinching things to grab them. On the subject of hands, I can't stand having my fingernails longer or at my fingertips. They MUST be as short as possible or I cant use my hands because my fingernails also touch the thing I'm touching. I also can't wear nailpolish because it makes my fingernails feel like they're smothered and evil or something idk how to explain it it just drives me nuts.

All of these make me want to slam my head into the nearest wall because I just cant stand them at all. I'm able to restrain myself from doing that but occasionally I hit my head because I'm near meltdown. I just, wegh.... sensory issues are stinky.. cryingcry
