Do you wear your kandi purses, backpacks, clutches, whatever out in public?

Not meaning kandi bracelets. i never wear a bunch in public. but i do sometimes use my kandi purses. and everytime i do, i recieve wide eyed stares from different people. i'm not saying i mind 10.gif but if you saw someone with a bright kandi purse, does it send out that vibe "HEY LOOK AT ME IM A RAVER!"? like, that's the vibe i get when i see kids wearing kandi sleeves and fluffies in broad daylight. i have a kandi purse that has a desert pattern, and it's colors and everything just scream SUMMER, and i think it would look so cute. i'm going on vacation soon, and wondering if i should bring it. i know what some of you may think or say, that i should not care what others think, and wear whatever i want, but i can't help but to wonder how i am presenting myself to the world. Thanks everyone, sorry for such a long question 10.gif

not too many people even know the rave culture still exsists. I asked my sister who was one and she was like "it's still around?". yeah you get odd stares, but nobody goes "omg thats a raver!" unless they are or know one. I alwas wear my kandi and fluffies and kandi purses out in public (mainly because im too young to actually rave in them) and all i get is stares. Its the police who get skeptical. they see you, they listen to the stereo type. they wont do anything though unless you are doing drugs or under age drinking, or at a party that is not legal.

thankshappyi'm not sure where you live, but here in california, especially Southern California, everyone is jumping on the rave bandwagon, trying to foolow the next trend. yes, raving is a trend here. (to some) sad i'm not worried about anyone realizing i am a raver, more worried that i look like i'm trying to show off the fact that i am. i don't really agree with kids (or anyone for that matter, but it's mostly kids who do this)going around flaunting they're kandi and fluffies, especially if they have never even been to a rave. but to each their own. that's a different subject. hopefully the police will see a kandi purse and think "wow she's creative" instead of "DRUGGIE". LOL.

when I used to wear kandi a lot, it didnt matter if it was day or night i wore whatever I wanted and didnt care, when I would go out of coutry ( once maybe 2ce a year) I would still wear a lot of kandi but I would ALWAYS wear one of my stuffed animal back packs so idk i never really cared about the stares, I just had fun and did what I wanted and think you should just not put so much thought into what others think. If someone wants to know your a raver they can ask and you can either lie or tell the truth, I have found old schoolers lots of places by spotting the one single or 2 singles they would wear to work. Sometimes you can be spotted as a raver by wearing just one bracelet so its not really a big deal in my eyes

I only wear cuffs and other kandi jewelry in public. That's because that's basicaly all I can make. P.S. I don't even rave...

One time, I was in the mall, and I saw a girl who had a kandi purse. I don't know how to make them, so to me, they're really impressive. I wanted to like, go up to her and go "your purse is SO cool! how did you make it!? OuO" but that probably would have been weird. =w= As for me, I only have cuffs and singles and necklaces I can wear in public. I'd totally carry around a kandi purse or backpack in public if I had the supplies to make them with. (and well, if I knew how to make them. @u@ )

I wear my backpacks around all the time =D I took my first one with me to the caribbean and used it to put my camera in. Most people just saw it as creative no one ever mentioned anything about it being a rave item

I have a small kandi bag, but I rarely wear it in public. I get paranoid that it could break anytime. :S
