I’m learning three languages at the same time! Japanese, Spanish, and ASL. I hope to be a polyglot by the time I graduate high school. Emphasis on hope lol

I’ve been studying Spanish for 3 months, Japanese 2 years, and ASL for about a week now

I tried to learn ASL for about a week in January when I completely lost my voice (like no sound came out not just I was stuck whispering) since I had no way to communicate. It was pretty scary lol especially cause I sing in a band I started with my friends. Thankfully though, I got my voice back I stopped trying to learn for a while and then the other week I was at a pep rally and it was too loud for me to talk to my friend. I thought, hey, ASL would be useful rn. So now I’ve been watching 3 ASL videos a day

I started learning Japanese because of my anime phase a couple years back but I’m really passionate about linguistics so I stuck with it even after I stopped caring about anime.

Spanish class made me interested in Spanish, also I went on a cruise that visited Mexico and I was like hey wouldn’t it be cool to speak Spanish?

I also took French throughout elementary school but I forgot a LOT of that lmao.

Anywayyy I also wanna learn Italian because I’m a good bit Italian (I’d say just Italian but I’m a mix of just a ton of European stuff but Italian is the biggest)

Also I wanna learn German cause it’s the most used other than English in the Germanic language family, and that means it’d be easier to learn loll.

If u can’t tell I wanna major in linguistics in college lmao

I have a plushie (that came with a note and other stuff) that I got as a gift from a content creator I like bc his girlfriend saw my fanart in his Discord server and showed it to him
