ASL (American Sign Language) IS SO COOL!! It's an entire language! With your hands!

I'm hearing and all but wowowow it's SO NICE to use when I don't feel like talking. I don't have many friends who know ASL though, and the friends I do have with an interest only know a little. I only know a little too though! I don't mean to bash on learners! I can't WAIT to take classes in college so I can be fluent. I need to practice watching people sign more so I can get used to seeing sign and comprehending it as well as continue to learn to sign myself. On top of all the reasons it's cool in general though, it's SO useful even just knowing the basics when meeting deaf or hard-of-hearing people! I have literally never met a single mean deaf or hard of hearing person so the conversations I do get to have (with my currently limited vocabulary) are so nice!!! Just,, yeah I've had an obsession with learning ASL recently it's taking up more of my time than learning Spanish does, and I have a physical Spanish class that I attend. If you're interested in learning ASL, there are a few basic things that are very very very important: shoulder shifting, non-manual signals, and learn the sentence structure (there's more crucial stuff as well but those are just some). And yeah! This forum is awesome AJLDSUOIHN finally I could talk about this!!!!
