just curious about why people hate or like the dsmp because ive heard/seen bad things about the members, especially dream and wilbur

@V4MP1RE_GUTZZ: I know, but if they prove that they change and became a better person they shouldn't be seen as a bad person. I'm not saying it's okay to do/say offensive things. It's never okay. Most of the cc's have made those mistakes when they were young and stupid. As long as they don't make the same mistake twice and learn that it was wrong, they could be worthy of forgiveness. Of course if you don't want to forgive them, that's completely fine.
But in my opinion, depending on the situation, I would most likely forgive them after time.

a ton of them are transphobic and racist, esp fundy. fundy made hiz character on the smp tranz (even though hes cishet) and made deadname jokez az well az SA jokez on a different stream. Schlatt haz done other stuff and dream iz a big queer bater with much more stuff, they are mostly all cishet men and pretend and act gay on purpose, half of them are ¨married¨ and itz rlly weird. therez alot more + the fandom ((which myself think iz the worst part bc i made a thread on twt and got told to kay why ess over it.) az someone who went through a phase of loving the streamz therez alot more i cant even talk about, itz just a huge pile of chaoz and problimatic content creatorz.

I saw a video on youtube posted by Astri-Nomical and it had clips of members saying offensive things. I'm pretty sure most of them have apologized, but I think one of the clips was wilbur saying "thats why ur mum's a (t-slur)" and tommy said "I get all the lesbians" I think both of them have learned from their mistakes, but I'll try and find the video so people are aware of this.

Update: The video has since been removed, it seems that Kai has cleaned up their channel to only show drama videos, edits, projects, and some memes.

All I know of is that Dream has a really bad reputation. People have dug up some old accounts of his where he's been pro Trump. Because of this, people question his support of the LGBTQ community. Selling pride merch still puts money in *his* pocket rather than it going towards queer people, and he promised he'd donate all proceeds during June 2021 and then proceeded to forget completely and do one rushed stream right at the end of the month. It's pretty suspicious for a streamer whose job is literally streaming, to conveniently not stream during the entirety of pride month after promising he'd donate. It's poor allyship at best, and with various racism scandals in the past and a pro-Trump paper trail, he really seems to outsiders like a bigot who only cares about maintaining public image. I cannot remember the specifics of his past racist actions but I'm sure someone else here will know more about that side of the situation than myself.

they have all done some sort of queerphobic and/or racist things as well as a couple of them (i think its mainly only js*hl4tt) being antisemitic. a number of them (it might just be one or two of them though) have also made SA and deadname / trans jokes when they are all cishet.

not to mention the fandom literally doxxed a black queer girl for saying that she didn't like dr34m and dr34m never did literally anything about let alone the rest of them.

there's probably a LOT more than i'm missing or don't know of but this is just what i know of.

on a more serious note, i honestly wouldnt even bother trying to find out. too much hassle and you literally cannot tell whats bias or whats real at this point..

@KENNAKILLZ: there's literal evidence for plenty of the things that they've done, whether it be via screenshots, audio, or even best, video. it's not bias - they are all known to be horrible people.
