I used to not know how to measure the size of my wrist so all my singles had this ugly gap in the back where there were just no beads cos they were too small. Same thing with peyotes, all the beads would be really spread out in the back and it would look so bad omg. Thank Bingus I figured out how many beads around my wrist was so I don't run into that problem anymore lol

Before I learned how to make a multistitch cuff, I thought a peyote stitch was the only way to make a cuff so I tried using a multistitch pattern on here using a peyote stitch lmao Then I took a look at Crumpet's cuff tutorial and was like "ahh... that makes much more sense now"

Using the super shitty glossy string and all my things would break so easily. Also, my first UFO cuff I got better sting but was so sacred it would break that I pulled it WAY to tight and now the beads are slowly falling off due to the string tearing from stress.wacko

lol when i made my first flower cuff i didn’t know you had to work the string back to the original knot to tie it off

it totally crushed the flowers, i was devastated

i started making kandi my 7th grade year, that wasn't the bad part. the bad part was that i has a super sh!tty aesthetic back then (think: leggings and a volleyball shirt everyday with hair tied back in a low bun) and i hung out with the popular girls. i also thought i was such a cool "masculine lesbian" back then because i wore sporty clothes... and was lesbian. so when you mix kandi (an extremely creative and fun activity) with a 7th grader who thought they were so cool, it didnt work outscared

my sister (she/they) started making kandi before me, around 2012, I would often watch her make it and sometimes she would let me make some with her. i would use like 10 beads and then tie the string together without more beads, of course it wouldn't fit around my wrist with 10 beads so the bracelet was for string then beads and it was so bad but i was like 8 so im giving myself the befit of the doubt.

off topic: i really bonded with my sister over those times and i hold those memories close to my heart, I fucking love them to bits and the raised me really well despite being 15

I used to think you had to pull the string as tight as possible when making cuffs and could not understand how people fit em over their hands laugh

i would use that shitty clear glittery slippery string from hobby lobby so none of the cuffs i made were the right size or were tight lmao
