I don't know why this bothers me so much....

But it's like people who know how to make kandi gas mask are sworn to some kind of secrecy. I would LOVE to learn how to make one, but I'm the type of person that needs some kind of visual aid, weather it be a video tutorial or a picture one. I have scoured the internet to find something, ANYTHING! remotely helpful and came up empty handed. I know I'm not the only one who feels this way...right?

lol i dont think anyone was disrespected though going arounf touting how "unplur" ppl are and such is disrespectful. everyone here is just sharing thier views and everyone learning diffierntly has nothing to do with the topic at hand. just cause u olearn things different than others doesnt mean u cant sit down and figure somthing out. kandi is about friendship or plurr (its IS important and a facet of kandi) but its about expressing urself, showing ur creativity, standing out while fitting in. its supposed to have ur own lil touch. supposed to b as unique as urself. being lazy and saying do it for me so i can b as cool/stand out/sell/promote myself takes away from that. b4 tut's and patterns designers it was rare to see large pieces cause no one was deligent enough and creative enough to sit down and make it happen accept for a few, which was their own signature and style. it was their way of self expression. i think if someone cant b creative, delegent, pateint, and smart enough to

last post from me in the forum for a while: look respect my opinions or don't dosent bug me I don't have to share anything anymore an opinion is there to be respected and. Chances are its built on 1 persons beliefs or experiences i learn how to do things in three steps i watch first then i do it with help then i do it on my own that's the way my brain works everyone learns differently and at there own pace so saying well you should learn on your own to me is like public schools lumping us all together and expecting us to learn at the same pace there getting better with ap and advanced classes while this comunity is not, your showing us basics then getting mad when we ask for help on the big stuff

It's like magic. A magician may teach you how to do a couple of card tricks, but they're not going to show you their finishing act. Then everyone would be walking around doing magic. It would get old, boring, and not as exciting and fun anymore. The skill wouldn't be appreciated as much.

eh when u treat it as an art or in a "professional" manner ull make so much better things. everyone learns at their own pace yes but if that were the case their wouldnt b anything other than singles made cause no one would have figured stuff out ppl are forgetting what kandi truly is, its about friendship yes, but thats a small facet of what it truly is. its about creativity, expressing urself, finding ur style or niche if u will. standing out in ur own way. everyone wnating to make everything they see is cool and all but it kills the creativness that spawned it, kills the purpose for it, takes away from that persons style and personality when i first started making kandi in 99 there werent any tuts, there was no help just sitting down on ur own or with friends, throwing around ideas and making them happen

White_rabbit_alice, yes everyone is capable to learn on their own, and when i said that i was talking about kandi not Work or anything of that sort. I know that school is there to help you learn, of course. But kandi is simple, you may think of it as a complicated enough craft to compare it to lets say, doing brain surgery, or things like that where you actually need the help from a professional that knows what theyre doing, but kandi is not like that . Its all in you, whatever you set your brain to is what you are able to achieve. You can either take over your disablities or let them take over you. Youre the only one setting yourself back. Just try it.

MrKANDIKID is right: "thats just you putting yourself down. Try it yourself, if you fail attempting it, try again, and again and again untill you get it just right." Look at some of the work of people who were "beginners" before any "good" tutorials were around. The stuff is amazing. Being successful comes from the imagination and trial and error. Not spoon-feeding.

white_rabbit_alice: "not every one can figure everything out on there own if that was the case then why have school if we can figure it out on our own, why have training videos at work if the employees can figure it out on their own..." This is like me saying: "sunny days are good" then someone argues back that "if all we had were sunny days, we'd never have rain. Without rain we'd have famine and death." them trying to make it sound like I want everyone to die. Sure everyone has their own way of learning. That's why I tell people to watch other videos than mine. They can't always rely on me because I may unknowingly do something the "complicated" way. But when excuses come into play is when everyone gets hot and bothered (whether it's mental/physical disabilities). The only thing stopping a person from making something is themselves. I actually recently made a video over that.

mrkandikid "not everyone can do it your way and your saying that just because i can you can some people honestly do need help some people might have some thing hindering them like myself i suffer with an ability to express my self properly when i'm writing because my brain goes at like 100mph my fingers/hands 25mph so a lot of it gets cut out and not every one can figure everything out on there own if that was the case then why have school if we can figure it out on our own, why have training videos at work if the employees can figure it out on their own everything is a double sided street if what your saying is correct then so is what i'm saying, because if everyone can figure out everything on there own then why have the things i'm talking about" (sorry this just bugs me when people say that because EVERYONE LEARNS DIFFERENTLY)

It just seems to me that everyone complaining just wants a tutorial of some sort to lead them to the right way. Thats fine and all but dont get mad at the people who choose to keep it a ”secret”, and not make a tutorial. there isnt even a need for a tutorial or an image or anything at all. EVERYONE can figure EVERYTHING out on their own, you just have to think hard enough and put everything you know together to make what you want to make. I for one have figured almost everything I've made without a tutorial, and for those little things ive made with tutorials is just because the tutorials were there, but if they werent there you better believe I would have figured it out myself. And for those that say, ”oh well its cause you have more experience, or smarter or better”, thats just you putting yourself down. Try it yourself, if you fail attempting it, try again, and again and again untill you get it just right. Theres no point in waiting for a tutorial when you can make it yourself now.

and purpl3sag3 i dont make them for profit. been making them since 04' and have barley sold a few. i only started sharing my pix to inspire folks into doing things other than cuffs and show that there is more out there than just doing normal stuff. soon after surgicals, kinis and such exploded cause ppl began realizing theres so much more to it. i sell a few here and there yes but its to cover costs, mine arent some cheaply hap'd together surgical lol. and i have given away more in the past few years than i have sold ^.^
