tell some funny storys about a parent or why you think your parent is cool but not cool at the same time ill go first(:

my mom likes bands like slipknot and korn so dose my dad(there not together)but my mom has the decor taste of a women in her 40s who makes her family go to church every sunday(no offence to any church goers)and wont let me dress how i want most of the time

my dad is rly cool i just dont see him often and he dosent pay attention but he also steals my kandi lmao

i love my parents not to say they dont have problems but these are just things i find funny about them

my parents are so silly fr

i share a lot of musical + book interests with my parents, and we do fun stuff together but like... they do not know how to act around lgbtq+ people. my dad once told me to just 'stick with they/them for now' when i came home with a nametag that said they/he my mom also came out as straight to me and said she 'uses all pronouns but isn't a he/him or a they/them' (neopronouns mom????)

they also refer to me as a teenage girl all the time and deadname a lot of my friends. i know a girl who has been out as trans since literal kindergarten and they still use he/him pronouns when they talk about her. but like my mom took me to see mitski in concert so

my mom is really cool and i love her (we share a lot of movie and music interests so that's nice), my dad is a little odd.. he thinks i'm too young to be lesbian we've gotten into multiple arguments about it and he refuses to see my side, so ill probably be 'too young' until i'm quite literally a fully grown adult.

my dad lets me say balls but i cant say butt lmao

also he's really into heavy metal n stuff and he has a very gay kid so I made him a rainbow kandi upside down cross and it hangs in his office its v funny- my mom does not know about this LMAO

my mom is generic sweet cottagey bumblebee-lover mom but something rlly cool is the fact that shes diabetic (type1) and her name is melissa and melissa means honeybee AND THEY USED TO USE BEES TO DIAGNOSE DIABETES

also my mom is a hairdresser (a really suuper good one) so i get free cuts n color and she tests out new things on me, like she gave me a wolf cut and hair tinsel as a test and it is SO cute

o and a general cute parents moment: i came home from school one day w/ a big rainbow pride flag that a teacher gave me and thats how i came out to my parents and all they said was "we know you're gay, it's obvious"
