Is it wrong to sell kandi?

Okay I want ZERO fighting/arguing on this post, I just want everyone's honest opinion please. Keep it PLUR. Also, here is my view on my question: If a singer has the talent of singing and we have the talent to make cuffs and other kandi couldn't we get paid for our talents too?

Me, personally, I think selling kandi is okay if all your profit goes to charity instead of your own selfish needs ^-^ I sold singles for a dollar to help a family pay for their son's funeral. We raised over 2,000 dollars. It was pretty awesome x3

All depends on how & what you are selling- there is going to be a fine line with this topic ONLY if you are wanting to create a business with what you create & sell online. Technically, selling kandi that has pictures of things we love (fandoms) from movies, games, cartoons and what not, IS NOT your own idea, and that would be copyright infringement. the gray area, lies with how you promote you item for sell & that particular companies rules on reselling their idea. (most companies care, some don't) If you create a My Little Pony inspired mask, or cuff & try to sell it online using the words "My Little Pony" (which is trade marked) you will at some point get your item removed. With Most older retro video games, you will not have issues with. Nintendo doesn't care, cause fandoms keep them alive. Other companies & more of the newer fandom fades, like My little pony, loki, dr. who, hunger games, so on and so forth- if you try to sell on a larger scale like an online site such as etsy.com, you will at some point get targeted & your items will be taken down, 3 strikes & your store gets banned. If you are only selling to your friends and/or random people you cross- you will not have any issues. If the idea is PURELY original & yours, have at it, sell anyway you want with no fear.

"BaileyBayLeef" It is not selfish to keep profit on an item anyone creates & sells. That is how businesses start & how people support themselves with their business or to generate extra spending cash to get them though college or save up for something they really want. What you did with your profit is wonderful, I know many small business owners that do what you did to help others in financial need, but in the mean time it helps to pay the bills.

I have been contemplating this myself, I need to raise funds for my ambassador trip to Europe, I was also going to raise awareness for my disease, and pay off some of my medical bills by making and selling kandi. Mostly because making kandi is the only thing I am good at. Also its a ridiculously expensive hobby, I say go for it, spread the joy of kandi, as long as your not using the money earned for anything bad, have at it.

I don't think it's bad to sell "kandi", I also don't think by you keeping you profit your a bad person or anything like that, have fun selling "kandi", just a head up, pretty sure you know this already though, many people are going to be mean to you because of there personal opinion, but coming from a person that doesn't care on people's comments, don't let it get to you.

Im stocking kandi at a store in my town and some girl came in saying I shouldn't be selling it and was freaking out in the store...Im using the money for more beads or if my family needs help I give the money to them.

I wouldn't call it "bad". Personally, I'd rather trade. I understand if you spend a lot of money on supplies and you want to make a little money to support your cost though. I've sold a few cuffs before to cover the cost of string, beads, stuffies and whatnot. I didn't exactly enjoy selling them. I like either giving them away to friends, or trading.

I don't think it's really that bad since you're a real kandi kid/ kandi raver that's selling it. In my opinion kandi is meant to be traded and all that's PLUR(R). However, you're a kandi kid so it's more acceptable for you to sell kandi then someone who knows nothing about the rave culture. Also you're spreading PLUR(R) along with it all in the end (which is even better). You're fine, no worries.

Oh I almost forgot to add in that you should probably put that you're a real kandi kid that's selling it. That should help you from getting nasty comments from other kandi kids.

my town has a farmers market coming up, and I would love to sell kandi. The problem is, I'm not a raver. I'm a minor so I have no way to get into local raves, not to mention people that aren't ravers would proabably buy the cuffs. I like the culture and I definitely believe in spreading plur. I'm just not sure I should go through with selling

Is it wrong to sell kandi?
