I need help with pronoun stuff

Valen_ 12/16/2021 02:26 pm 361

I use they/it pronouns and my friends know that (i think) but they always refer to me as they. I'm okay with they/them but it would make me super happy if they used it/its pronouns with me a little more. Idk how to bring it up to them without coming off as rude or whatever. Does anyone know how I could bring it up?

(Not necessarily an answer but) My guess as to why they are hesitant is the fact that calling someone an "it" has been used in transphobic ways. But now that people are using it/its pronouns more now might help.

Just tell them straight out, that you would like them to try to use it/its more!

some people it may take more time, some people may refuse, and those people you might want to distance yourself from, but if they accept you I'm sure they'll make the effort happy
