Right after they fall into the hole they all pass out and wake up when they hit the ground. They wake up to see a village with mushroom people, houses, you name it! They were shocked to see their surroundings but they were so confused at the same time. “Oh hello there young ones! What are you doing away from the schoolhouse? You know what will happen when your teacher finds out!” Said a little mushroom woman. The mushroom people were all the size of the average 4 year old, so not very tall to say the least. “Wh-Where are we? Are we dead?” Asked Andrew confused and dizzy, “Oh child this is the great town of Shroomlan’ ! Ah Shroomlan’...what a beautiful place to live when you’re a shroom-an..'' Said the shroom-an. “What are your pronouns, Ma’am?” Asked Caroline politely. “What is a ‘pronoun’ child?” She asked. “Oh it’s like how you talk about someone, for example my pronouns are she/he/they.” Replied Caroline. “Oh pronouns! Well lets see..my pronouns are She/Her? Is that correct?” She asked. “Yes, if that's what you’re comfortable with. Also we never got your name.” Caroline said. “Oh my name's Marina. Everyone's name here starts with an M or an S.” Said Marina. “AWWW I LOVE THAT NAME!!” Screamed Andrew with joy. “Oh why thank you!'' said Marina to Andrew. “You’re welcome, Marina!! That’s my dog's name!” Said Andrew. “What’s a ‘dog’?” Asked Marina. “You don’t know wha-oh yeah there’s no dogs here...uhm...it’s this.” Andrew told Marina as he showed her a picture of what a dog looks like. “Oh that's a dog! We have dogs, though they’re made of mushrooms...specifically Amanita mushrooms!” Replied Marina. The kids talked to Marina for a bit and then started walking to the schoolhouse. “So..what are your names? I already got, Carolines.” Asked Marina. “My name is Jade and my pronouns are They/Them.” Said Jade to Marina, “Oh what a lovely name my dear.” Said Marina happily. “Aww thanks, Marina.” Said Jade who is heartwarmed by Marina. “You’re very welcome, Jade.” She said, “My name is Andrew and my pronouns are He/Him.” Told Andrew to Marina. “That name is wonderful, Andrew! It reminds me of...nevermind it’s not important.” Said Marina is a monotone voice. “Hm? Reminds you of who, Marina?” Asked Andrew. “N-nothing let's just get you guys to the schoolhouse..” She said, After getting to the schoolhouse Marina went back to her home while the kids were left to deal with their ‘classmates’. “Hi tall people...why are you not as tall as all of us?” Asked one of the students. “Oh that's because we’re hum-” Jade said but was interrupted by Caroline. “Ignore them..we’re uhh...new kids! Yeah new kids..” He said to the kid. “Ohhhhh…..TEACHER THE NEW KIDS ARE HERE!!” Shouted the child. “Okay, Sammy calm down- oh hello there. Can I help you?” Said the teacher who looked quite tiresome to the children. “Hi! We’re uh..the new kids here.” Said Caroline taking their hand off Jade's mouth. “New kids? I wasn’t told about new kids….come in anyways I suppose.” Said the teacher. “Alrighty then.” Replied Andrew in a confused tone. The teacher got the students to finally sit down at their desks. “Okay kids we have some new students here with us so lets turn off our voices so they can introduce themselves.” Said the teacher to the students. “Uhm I guess i’ll go first..uh hi my name is Jade, my pronouns are They/Them, i’m 14, and i’m from Avon New York.” Said Jade to the class. “I’ll go next I suppose..hello my name is Andrew, my pronouns are He/Him, I'm 15, and I'm from New York City.” Said Andrew right after. “Oh lovely it's my turn. Hi I'm Caroline, my pronouns are She/He/They, I'm also 15, and I'm Mexico New York.” Caroline said in a joyful tone. “Well thank you for those kids, but I have a question for Jade.” Replied the teacher in an almost sarcastic tone. “Oh no, is this about Avon? This is the last time I'll say it's not pronounced like the perfume company!” Said Jade, annoyed. “No no no it's not about that but do tell me about that after school. I wanted to ask why you use the plural pronouns They and Them?” Replied the teacher in confusion. “Oh..well first off they aren’t just plural, They/Them can also be singular!” They said to the teacher.
