Here's chapter 1 of my book, Root of the Rainbow

There is a small town named Mexico in Upstate NY where 3 teens lived. They’re names were Jade, Andrew, & Caroline. They were the only LGBTQ kids in the town sadly but they were ok with it! They go to ‘Sydney C. High School’ , Caroline and Andrew are sophomores and Jade is a freshman. They were all part of the art club and there was a meeting after school. Jade was running late to the meeting and Caroline and Andrew were waiting for them to show up, “Hey guys! Sorry i’m late..Mrs. Corey had to talk to me about the test.” Said Jade out of breath, “Jade, we have been waiting for you for like an hour!” Said Andrew. “Well I'm sorry Andy blame Mrs. Corey, not me..” Jade said. After Andrew and Jade stopped arguing the meeting started, they were painting their favorite flower. Jade painted an alfalfa, Andrew painted a lily of the valley, and Caroline painted a cry violet. “Wow, Caroline, that's such a beautiful flower! What flower is it?” Said the art teacher. “Thank you, Mr. K. It’s a Cry Violet..they went extinct in the 1950s.” Replied Caroline. “Oh well it's very pretty. Very pretty indeed.” Said Mr. K. “Andy, did you seriously make a Lily of the valley?” Asked Jade to Andrew, “Yes, Jade it is.” Replied Andrew in a confident voice. “Dude you know those are only in minecraft right?” Said Jade. “No they’re not..look it up they’re real!” Said Andrew. Jade looked it up on google and realized they’re pretty dumb. “OH...well i’m stupid” Said Jade while laughing. Andrew, Caroline, & Mr. K laughed with them. After art club was over the kids all went to the woods to look for some cool stuff. They foraged some pretty cool stuff like an old beer glass from the late 40s, a puffball mushroom, and some rusty bike chains from some old bikes laid against a tree to be forgotten. Jade goes a little far into the woods and finds a big hole under a big oak tree. “Hey guys!! Come look at this hole!” Shouted Jade. The others came to look and amazement and shock came over their faces. “Woah..that's a big hole.” Said Andrew. “You think, Andy?” Asked Caroline sarcastically. “Yes I do think..only sometimes cause you know...I have ADHD.” Replied Andrew. “Shush you two and look at the hole.” Said Jade, annoyed. They all looked into the hole for a minute or two and they heard a noise coming from it. “What the hell was that?” Asked Caroline in a scared tone. “I-I don’t know..it came from the hole” Said Jade. The noise grew louder and suddenly they were all pushed into the hole by something behind them.
