note that if anyone says yes, there will probably be discussions of dr#gs and s#icide. bc authors were all fucking nuts. also i generally mean japanese authors bc im hyperfixated on jp lit

@lovejoyflowers: like i said, i mostly know about older authors, since i'm mega hyperfixated on a game based off authors from around the early/mid 1900s, so unfortunately i don't know anything about her

@BL00DP0P: oh absolutely i think he was an amazing writer! he was also very mentally ill! the fact that no longer human was autobiographical is Concerning!

@BL00DP0P: osamu dazai was a fuckin NUTCASE. the man attempted s#icide 5 times in total, most of them with women. one time neither of them died and so he divorced her. also once he abandoned his friend kazuo dan in a hotel and said he was gonna go get money from kan kikuchi. dan was there for five days! before he left and went to go find dazai. dazai was playing fucking shogi with masuji ibuse. he did not get the money

@doom_boy: so i actually dont know much about junji ito... im mostly hyperfocused on 20th century authors but i do know he loves cats and has some manga strips about his cats? and it's drawn in his usual horror art style despite Not being horror At All
