i use neoprns, right? and my best friend supports enby and trans and he is mlm himself, but doesnt support neos. i literally dont know how to explain that they are valid to him ;-;

just try to explain them to him and answer any questions he has !! also tell him that neos have been around for centuries and that they make some people feel much more comfortable as compared to binary pronouns !

if hes one of those ppl who r like "its too confusing, just use they he or she" u could tell him that people also have to learn each others names which vary even more, so you just need to get used to using neopronouns and itll be as easy as using someones name

Language is ever changing. Neopronouns aren't really all that new. They are just now being popularized by social media! Tell him to research it so then he can actually make a stance on them.
