ranting abt gender stuff

ppl post abt gender/sexuality stuff here a lot and i just have something i want to rant about because its something tht bugs me -__-

im really tired of seeing people talk about being nonbinary like its the "third gender" or something. like the way people assume nonbinary = androgynous or genderless, no thats not what it means !!! if anything its really more of an umbrella term for people who identify outside of the gender binary of male and female, there is no wrong way to be nonbinary and not all nonbinary people even use they/them pronouns. the way society views our identity as a third gender just continues to enforce a gender binary onto us. we broke out of one binary box just to be put into another box. and especially as a nonbinary person who presents feminine, i feel like im not "nonbinary enough" because people assume nonbinary means presenting as totally androgynous and having short hair and its just really upsetting !!!
