how to tell if you spiritually kin?

yo!! hi! i assume someone on this site will be able to help me out :OOO

so i’m very dumb /j /lh and i’ve read up a lot on spiritual kinning but i think i need help figuring out what exactly denotes a spiritual kin? is it something only certain people experience due to trauma or mental things? and how do you tell if you do? i just feel really deep personal connections to this one character— it feels like his and my life are combined and any time someone says something about him, it feels personal (especially if it’s an insult oh lord, and any time someone brings up the source, it’s like, oh, this is home, and if it’s the other characters, it’s like, those are my people. like this is my thing. you know?

i might just be being silly and looking too much into this and may not spiritually kin at all! i am just wondering

@milkywaytrain: this is a really helpful way of describing it! as someone who also believes in alternate universes and past lives, i can see myself being him in my past life

i think i might just be spiritually kin with him! wow, this is interesting!!

in my experience as spiritual kin, those r characters i was in a past life - i believe in past lives and multiverse so i think u could be a fictional character in a different life! some of my Past Lives are blending into This Life which is rlly fun (/hj), and usually i can tell which kins r spiritual and which ones are for trauma reasons by if i get memories of that past life, but sometimes they mix together and it's weird. from what u described u might fit right in with spiritual kin!!
