My parents think it's dumb and I don't know how to explain the importance of it…

I always tell them that is like a friendship bracelet! and that we go by PLUR(R) and then of course you have to explain what PLUR(R) is but after i do they always thinks it is cool!

When people ask, I tell them that it is a sign of friendship, PLURR, each piece means something and that it's a way I personally express myself happy

Kandi is something made by you or someone else (ravers) every person makes their own special kandi in their own unique way that may show of their personality a bit and help you get to know a bit about them. Kandi is traded to friends or newly met people as a sign of grateful or happiness (for example if somebody is looking down you may give them kandi to cheer them up) Kandi is to bond people together and each piece of kandi has its own story. I hope that your parents understand soon happy Good luck! winking

Kandi is a type of jewelry that ravers make to trade with each other either among friends or as new acquaintances. The importance comes from knowing that you have made someone happy with what you have made for them, and have the reminder of them from what they have given you. (But then again I know who almost all of my kandi is from, I only am unsure on 2 pieces) So yeah that is how I would explain it.

Kandi is friendship braclets and such if you trade but if you don't its the importance and meaning of why you made it and its importance to you. Not sure if that helped, but I tried.
