TW: Murders, descriptions of dead bodies, other things like that

well I find it pretty spooky, but it’s not a ghost story or anything. It’s a cold case murder mystery so uhhh yeah anyways decades ago, these boys found a dead body in an old elm tree (it was missing most of the flesh and was basically just a skeleton) and eventually they reported it to the local police (they didn’t report it for a few weeks as they had be trespassing when they found the body) and basically nobody knew who the dead woman was. Her mouth looked like it had had recent dental work, so the police questioned all the dentists in the area, none had any idea who she was (this is all before DNA testing and things as well). The weirdest thing was that someone started writing “who put Bella is the wytch’s elm?” in broken chalk around the town where the body was found, sometimes writing it spelt as “wytch” and sometimes as “witch”. They still don’t know who she is or who killed her, although there is some speculation she was a spy from WW2 or smth like that. There was a rlly good video on it that explained all of the details about the case but the person who made it got rid of the video sadly but I think there are some other on YouTube if u look up “who put Bella in the wytch/witch elm
