I have a question. If I where to use a puzzle piece to symbolize my experiences with DID would that be offensive? I just wanna know

@ponybead_crayon: that's perfect then. The puzzle peace is used to represent how autistic people are "missing something" or "incomplete" or "need to be solved" which is why we hate it, but I think it would be cool to not only have a symbol for DID created by a person with DID but it would also help to stop it from being used for autistic people, so it wouldn't be offensive, in fact, it might even be helpful

@p1zz_bAby: I feel as though DID is my missing piece in my puzzle. when I look at my symptoms everything makes since when I look at DID as the answer.

if you think that accurately represents your DID then go for it. I can't speak for all autistic people though, but a lot(if not all) of us hate the puzzle peace because it doesn't accurately represent autism. I think it be cool to see that symbol taken and given a new light somewhere where it belongs.
