You know what would be awesome? If you could make patterns on here through your phone. I know, there's apps that let you do such a thing but I'd want to post on here. I'm picky when it comes to pattern making.

Maybe we should set up a fundraiser to help Crumpet update the site and make an app? It's up to Crumpet in the long run but it's just a suggestion.

@TurboBeads: I wouldn't want to guess the cost of an app like that lol, it would easily be in the tens of thousands, that's why I'd prefer to try to make it if possible. I couldn't realistically arrange or manage a fundraising campaign like that anyway, I'm planning on starting a new job soon, and it would involve starting a campaign and trying to get supporters... that's not an easy thing to do. And the site doesn't have as many members as it used to, so it would be harder. Not worth it IMO.

I think that's a great idea!, Making a more mobile friendly version for the site, an app would work wonders!

How much do you think this would cost in investment? Id support it! Anyone Else?

I've actually had a mobile friendly pattern maker in the works for a while. The problem is, I added too many features at once which made it difficult to debug. So I am working on a slimmed down version - with about the same features as the existing, maybe just a couple extra - and I'll release that initially, then gradually add more features. I don't have a timeline yet, but it's going to be dead by the end of 2020, and the first trials will be well before then, by that point I'd expect all the features to be added and for it to be close to 100%.

It will be a mobile site at first, not an app, but if I did want to convert it into an app, at least there would be some foundation already set up. Even while it's still a mobile friendly page (instead of an app), there's still some potential for it to work offline.
