I'm new to making Kandi and am wondering what kind of elastic cord to use for cuffs and singles. What thickness or brands should I use?

You can see my recommendations here, it's for cuffs but I recommend the same for singles: http://kandipatterns.com/kandi-help/kandifaq/78-wh...

I use normal clear elastic cord for cuffs, i use fabric cover cord for singles, and for peyotes and my #D worK, i use fishing line. The size of the cord i use is .7 mmhkheartkittenrainbowsmile

i've used stretch magic in both 1mm & .7mm in clear. the .7mm is stretchier but both of them are durable

i use fabric coated elastic to make singles but for cuffs i use clear 1mm stretch magic. the fabric cord works best for singles because it is very durable and you can stretch it without fear of it breaking happy

hey!rainbowsmile I always buy my cord from walmart. The brand is called "Cousin" and its "clear stretch cord"! i get the .5mm because its just a standard beginning size, it fits all beads and it does its job! if you want something a little thicker go with the .7, ive never used it but ive heard good thing!! good luck wink

If you live near a Walmart, their beading section has nice elastic cords for a great price! I got 2 cards with 4 colors each for like $2-3. And it wasn't a small amount of cord. I've made so many pieces using only one of the cards. 0-0 Also, they have items listed online, if that's an option for you. hkheart
