you can make a loose and baggy long sleeve cardigan by making different colored squares and adding them together by sewing! The squares work even the on the sleeves, the sleeves are kind of flared out at the end (not a good way to describe it but I can't think of a better way)

I think it's called a patchwork cardigan and there's tons of examples if you google it
