Kandi Bag Straps?

I was wondering what kind of stitch y'all use for the straps on y'all's bags? (pardon my southern) I've seen a few different types and I've done a long and wide peyote stitch for one before but it's just so heavy and---I guess---impractical? The bag I'm currently working on is heavy, maybe around 3-4 lbs. Any ideas on what kind of stitch is best for it? Thank you! :3

I’d recommend using peyote. It doesn’t have to be a very wide peyote. I don’t think you should use stretch cord for your straps, instead use something that doesn’t stretch like fishing line. Fishing line is thin but it’s made to withstand a lot of weight and pulling. For smaller bags I’d recommend a double or something similar like a “bone stitch”

I’m not an expert on this and I’ve never made such a big and heavy bag, but I’ve been looking into making my own straps. Sorry if this is something you already know
