Thread got Eaten?

So I was typing up about PLUR because I think we all should embody it more, and I had this nice paragraph all typed out. It wasn’t too too long, but it was worded good. Anyways I add an extra emoticon because I know that the website always eats the last character of a post, then I go to post it. Yup that’s a motorcycle alright. Uh huh, cloudflare. Ok. Wait where am I? Why is this green? Why is it taking so long? My browser automatically refreshes and I zone back in, horrified; has my thread been… eaten? Not in the literal sense, but in the sense that it was there and now it’s not. At least I don’t think so. Even when a thread needs mod approval, it still shows up for the person who posted it, right? That’s what happens in my experience. Reminds me of a time when my photos kept getting eaten. I tried to post the same photo *three times* before it actually worked. I wonder what’s in the belly of this website; probably a bunch of ones and zeros I figure. But what are those ones and zeros? My thread about PLUR. And my new years selfies. And the last characters of countless thread posts.

It’s not like I’m using a VPN either. Is my Canada wifi just sketchy? It works peachy keen. I guess websites are just like this. Maybe we’ll never know.

Hopefully my lost forum post isn’t too scared in there

You’re the second person that has reported this. It sounds like the way Cloudflare is redirecting back is sometimes eating threads, but I haven’t yet been able to find out a way of addressing it. They recently updated their captcha process so I wonder if it’s related

But yes, even if it requires mod approval you will be redirected back to the thread. The pending thread will also show on your profile.
