Good places to buy perler?

i've been meaning to get into making perlers and larger pieces, but i'm struggling to find good places to buy both perler beads and plates (aside from amazon), especially when looking for specific bead colors. any advice? 63c188ba7078d_suspicious.gif

If you do a lot of perlers like me, your best bet is Aliexpress. At first I never considered it because I thought it was all made by kids (PSA: Every fake perler is made by a kid, no matter what company you buy from). Every single nonbranded "fuse bead" is sourced directly from factory deals for bigger companies or buying in bulk from Alibaba sites, if you compare anything to the stuff on there you'll know what I mean. There is no ethical consumption under capitalism honestly, no matter where you buy it all traces back to Alibaba. I've actually been saving up a bit to restock my perlers and I've managed to get my hands on 130,000 beads for roughly 90 usd. Buy from the source and save yourself the trouble, it won't negatively impact humanity.

The official Perler website and fusebeadstore are my go-tos, plus they offer heavy discounts when you buy more bags. In-person craft stores are usually MUCH more expensive, but quicker to buy and you can see the colors for yourself. If you don't want Perler brand fuse beads, I've heard good things about Artkal (especially their mini beads, which have a larger selection than Perler)

Edit: as an example, the mixed bead buckets are $13-$19 on Perler's website, but often double that in stores. Weigh the pros and cons. If you can't buy online, or they don't ship to your country, the price might be worth it.

Honestly, if you're color hunting beyond what you can find at your local chain craft stores, buying direct from perler is the way to go. They offer discounts for bulk and free shipping with a min purchase.

check out your local craft stores! hobby lobby, joanns, and micheals usually always have boards and some selection for beads. walmart usually has the mixed tins but i don't really recommend those if you're trying to make larger, specific pieces. (if you just want a variety go right ahead lol)
if you're struggling to find a specific color, ordering online is probably your best bet :/ personally i go straight through perlers website but i imagine amazon would be fine too. i hear good things about beadtin but i've never used hama beads before so i don't have any experience with that site kao sick
