Guitar strap and microphone cover

I was thinking of adding My creativity in making a Kandi guitar strap and also cover up my microphone with Kandi. Or something for my mic. I don't know where to begin...I don't know what type of bead pattern to learn? What kind of beads to use? The only thing I know how to make is Kandi cuffs. So any advice or links that has step by steps would help to, even if it's making a bracelet that has the same type of stitch I would need to learn to make as long as it's easy. I'll take what I can.

Microphone cover : - x-based stitch - use either regular or mini pony beads - stretchy string Guitar strap : - peyote stitch - regular pony beads - fishing line, and reinforce the beads a few times you can find a bunch of tutorials on youtube, and fishing line can be sold wherever you get your beads from
