so fun fact im doing my ap art portfolio themed off of lyrics by boygenius/solo works by the members of boygenius. also fun fact this might depend on your teacher but you need to Literally Not Plagarize and just add where your inspration came from.

stuff ive already done:

"you've got a sense of adventure, an adventure for comfort that keeps you at home" (lucy dacus, addictions)

"they k!lled a fan down by the stadium, was only visiting but they beat him to death"/ "whatever you want, i'll be whatever you want" (phoebe bridgers, halloween) (side note: fun fact this piece has a very complicated semi personal story behind it.)

stuff im working on atm:

"black hole's opening in the kitchen, every clocks a different time" (boygenius, not strong enough)

"a haunted house with a picket fence, to float around and ghost my friends" (phoebe bridgers, i know the end) (also side note this is going to be a flat kandi panel. yes i am allowed to submit that no i have no idea if collegeboard will actually apprecate this)

lyrics i plan to do (i have a ton written down but i need to narrow it down to about 15ish so here are some of the top contenders):

literally all of souvenir by boygenius. i had trouble picking a specific lyric but if i had to pick specifically one itd be "when you cut a hole into my skull do you hate what you see like i do?"

"i said "that makes me feel old", you said "well, what does that make me?"" (phoebe bridgers, scott street) (yet ANOTHER side note im going to incorporate the train noises in my piece because i have a specific image of a train in my head whenever i hear that part of the song)

also i wanted to do phoebe bridger's cover of the gold (the visuals of that version of the song i get are different from the original manchester orchestra version) but despite the fact that manchester orchestra is credited on phoebes version too i decided not to do it. same thing with lucy dacus's dancing in the dark. bruce springsteen is cool but a song he wrote is just gonna be weird in a boygenius member project

also same thing with so much wine by phoebe bridgers. i literally have never heard the original and dont really plan on it. maybe ill just make a seperate phoebe bridgers christmas song cover piece as a side project though because Phoebe Christmas Song Day is a national holiday at this point /hj
