Double sided cuff?

StargazingOrion 7/4/2023 11:26 pm 380

Hii!! I was wondering if anyone would know how to make a double sided multi-stitch kandi cuff? I have an idea for a cuff that has a character making one face on one side and if you reverse it, it would change expressions on the other. Does anyone have any advice/videos/etc for making something like this? I tried looking up "two sided multi-stitch cuff" and "double sided kandi cuff" and I couldn't find anything similar to what I wanted-

What i'm picturing in my head is just like a normal multi stitch cuff but TWO beads thick instead of just one.

Any advice appreciated!! ty633f17443ded0_tbh_confetti.gif

if it was a multi, or peyote, that would prolly help the whole thing stay organised easier/stay together

@Phosfate: yeah,, I was thinking about how it might just get all messed up if I tried to flip it since the elastics fight to stay together... I'll trial and error my way through this potentially, my idea might not even work at all.

Your idea of maybe a palindrome-ish design intrigues me too! I didn't think of that.

The main issue is going to be finding a way to put the two sides together so that they don't blorb when you flip them, and keep whichever side is inside from rippling under the strain. I wonder if it might be best to stitch each panel one one side of something sturdy, like leather or canvas, and have it fasten with snaps? There will still be stress, though.

Another way might be do the design like those faces that smile when facing up and frown when turned over.

This is a puzzler.
