What is so good about southpark?

There is a lot of patterns recently of southpark characters. What is so good about the show that so many people want to watch it? It looks like a target version of family guy

South Park does a great job of taking dark concepts and discussing them in a funny yet tasteful way. It does have quite a bit of dark humor so if you don’t like that, it.. may not be show show for you but if you did, it is much better than shows such as Family Guy and American Dad (atleast in my opinion)

nah cuz fr why are there so many south park fans now not only that but like south park is ok im been trying to watch it i watched some ep but like it ok.. im trying to watch from season 1 ep 1 all the way up but like season one loooks so trashy???

but but i started form like season 4 or something

I guess it just comes with the territory of it being popular as is in pop culture :p I kinda felt the same way with COD where it was liek "woa- a lot of ppl like it" (but like not the audience of gamers who already play warzone/pvp/whateva)

I’m going to be honest here

I had the same opinion as you vampire vomit but after watching South Park I’ve realized I was wrong for judging south park

In my opinion south park is better than south park not only because they preset kids as main characters but there situations, jokes, character designs etc while family guy doesn’t show much of what South Park shows

So no South Park isn’t a target version of family guy and family guy is kinda trash ngl

im So sorry if I offended any family guy fans

I don't watch it consistently but I watch it here and there, it's pretty funny ngl- the only thing I don't really like about it (has nothing to do with the show itself) is just how young the viewer base is, considering how dark some of the humor is and how questionable some of the scenes are, it's just weird to have literal elementary schoolers watching this like its Saturday morning cartoons-

Well, it's funny I also wanted to add that South Park came before Family Guy. South Park was released in 1997 while Family Guy was released in 1999. There are major differences between the two and I'm pretty sure due to South Park's success that Family Guy is somewhat based on it. So no South Park isn't the target version it would be the other way around. If you don't like South Park or Family Guy I'd suggest not watching it not everyone has that sense of humor

I've been watching sp for like 8 years now lmao and i watch it because it's funny (I assume others who watch it is for that reason too) With the new season coming out its getting alot of people to join the fandom. I recomend watching it! The jokes are sometimes really dark (Like REALLY dark) But if you like that kinda stuff u should watch it

idk i got into it like 8 months ago and its like funny . i think the reason weve had a boom in south park patterns is because a new season came out and the fandom is consistently growing. (this is just my guess tho)
