Hey I just got duolingo yesterday to learn Japanese:)

it’ll probably be hard though I might give up as I did with Spanish, but I haven’t done it in a while so I can’t really speak to my grandma that only speaks Spanish

im also learning japanese i can read hiragana and katakana and some kanji it didnt take too long u got this and dont give up

ooo nice!!! I've been doing japanese for around 1 and a half years at my school if you need a bit of help not the greatest, but I can remeber hirigana quite well!!
