This smells more like burning stereo equipment than I thought it would

I successfully completed my first cuff! Go me! It's not very good, but I learned a lot for the next one.

EXCEPT. It's pink beads and aurora cherry beads. I'd heard aurora beads can be a bit whiffy, I was expecting something like hot Lego or melting rubber band. They actually smell like someone dropped a hairbrush into burning charcoal briquettes but decided to make the burgers anyway.

Anyway, if you use these beads, it smells weird, but the fire alarm doesn't go off, give the beads the sniff test. 5148b779c60b0_flame.gif

@Betelgeuse: I have a whole thing of oil spill beads from the same rack at the same store, and they don't whiff at all. I wonder what causes this?

LITERALLY i made a very very long "cuff" (more like a bracer at this point) with black "oil spill" beads and that thing smells NASTY like burning plastic i'm glad im not the only one whos encountered this oddity i thought i was just crazy lol
