I rlly want to make Augie's hat (https://www.amazon.com/BUC-ees-Orange-Adjustable-Baseball-Embroidered/dp/B0BHL4D4H7 /safe) into a kandi hat but idk the stitch I would use and how I would figure out the pattern of the hat

for the part covering ur head I'd say x-base to give that mesh look, and maybe try a brick stitch for the bill and decrease towards the end to give a curved look. as for the logo, I recommend sewing in a perler pattern of it so that u get more detail. i hope this helped!!
