bead lizard help?

so i have tried b4 to make them using my normal kandi string (clear strechy cord, i know its not the best but its what i got) and every time they just scrunch all up? ive only ever successfully made them using twine but it takes FOREVER so i was wondering if anyone had any tips to help w/ this?

Idk if itz the string but I use the string thatz covered in fabric! It helpz cuz itz a bit more stable. Hope I could help!tbh jump

you need a flat plastic cord that isn't super stretchy! wish i could find an example but hope this helps this is what i use and they dont get all floppy

ibe been sticking straws into my ladder stuff which seems to help but irs REALLY annoying to stuff them in sometimes since i cut the straw in half and roll it up to fit it into the beads
