i use clear nylon thread from my local fabric store instead of fabric thread. it goes with everything, is far less likely to break, knots really well, easier to thread, etc i just love everything about it. since i only ever do square stitch (using perler patterns or pixels) i keep a file of all the ones i want to do (i use sai but photoshop or anything else with pixels will work) with the pattern on one layer, and my progress as a clipped layer overtop on low opacity so i can keep track of what ive done already

@jamboscrimblo: appreciated!! all my charms scrunch, so i'll try wire!

depending on the kind of charm you are making, it might work better if you use thin wire rather than thread! i made some beaded lizards out of seed beads, & the wired ones don’t scrunch up like the ones made with thread animal03
