I like just started and I hate it and I’m so lonely and idk what to do

absolutely it does!
it can really suck your freshman year, but typically everything will get better.
Your first year of highschool is a really big step up from middle school, everything is changing and usually friend groups will shift around a bit. People are just trying to get used to the new way of things and it'll settle down before too long. You'll find your place eventually.<3

hi!! im a junior in high school so i think i've been around the block a bit to be able to give some advice haha

in my experience, yes. freshman year is really overwhelming and there's a lot of new stuff for you to get used to, you're usually in a much bigger school than you were before, and there's just so much going on and changing. but by halfway through sophomore year at the absolute latest you'll be cruising right by!! i promise!!

of course this depends on the school you go to a lot, but you'll start to get into the groove of things, make new friends, and make bonds with teachers who can help you out. plus high school opens up sports, extracurriculars, clubs, everything you could ask for which allows you to build more relationships and feel a sense of freedom and fun!

you're gonna be okay, i promise! high school gets really fun once you get into the swing of things

Oh, I'm sorry high school has been rough for you so far.

Genuinely, I think high school gets a lot better by your sophomore year, but the first year of high school is really tough. It takes a while to get used to the new environment and expectations. School does feel a bit more overwhelming, but it's all worth it in the end.

In my experience, people care less in high school. Students who used to be jerks may mature and come out of that phase (I can't promise that will happen though) and it's a tad easier to make friends. The best friends we've made all graduated before us, but we're still in contact with them and I don't know where I'd be without them today. Don't be scared to talk to older students! As a senior, I love talking to freshmen and am happy to help them out with whatever they need.

We're here if you need to reach out, okay? I believe in you, you are so strong and capable and deserving of nice things. It'll be okay. /gen /p

i think with highshool you've gotta lessen your expectations a little lol. it's very dramatized. depending on the way you approach it it can be worse or better. being a teenager fucking sucks, which is part of the reason why a lot of people feel it gets worse. but you're also getting older and figuring more things out. (also i'ts only 4 years....that goes by reallll fast. you'll be ok.)

im not in high school, im in the 8th grade so i cant really say much

but from personal experience with middle school, yeah. it gets better eventually. for making friends,look out for people with like, merch of things you like! ive made most of my friends through having similar interests, and most of my friendships have started by me saying "hey! i like your *fandom* shirt/keychain/etc, whos your favorite character?" or something along those lines, or, just try to make friends with people you've heard good things about! social anxiety sucks, and making friends is hard, but the worse that can happen is that you two don't become friends! besides, having 1 really great friend is better than having 10 okay friends, so try to stick with the people you have now! i also would try to join a club maybe ^^

school sucks, but befriending teachers also helps! try to make lighthearted jokes with them, and just try your best on the work, try to be a good student and get on the teachers good side, if you're a good student, that often helps with the school experience.

in the end, yeah, it does get better, plus hey, school isn't forever, so don't stress to much about it <33

depends on the school. i went from a really bad school to a decent one, so it got better for me. but idk your situation.
