Yes. In 6th grade and 7th grade, people would call me "emo" or "gothic" because how I looked, dressed, and music I listened too. I was bullied because how I was dressed. I would tease my hair alot, and people will just made fun of me. I wore black almost everyday, with fingerless gloves and alot of bracelets. I didn't care. A girl told me "Emo whore, stop cutting and dressing like that and get a life!" and I just straight up punched her because I was sick and tired of her calling me names. I don't really care if people label me now unless they take it too far. People still label me, but doesn't make fun of me. I still sort of dress the same but I changed a little bit. I stopped teasing my hair a lot and wore alot of make up. Now I hardly wear make up. But I'm glad people stopped making fun of me.

I remember at school last year I was called the "emo" and "scene" girl. All because of the way I dress and the music I listen to. For example, I was walking in the hallway and a huge group of "popular" people shouted EMO GO CUT YOURSELF. -_- emo Is a type of music and it means emotional. EVERYONE IS EMOTIONAL WE ALL HAVE EMOTIONS!!!!! But don't worry about people like that. They're just reflecting the flaws they have in theirselves. Keep your head up! happy

No one in my family labeled me as anything because my sister had gone through a similar phase in high school yet she labeled herself as scene. I have red and black hair and wear eyeliner (a lot), and then at school people usually just ask if I'm an emo or scene girl, which I respond no. It used to bother me with how weird I was. But then I went to a con and saw everyone there was weird and there will always be weird people to be around and kandi kids to make you feel accepted. So I don't really mind what people think of me now. :3

I started high school this year and so far no one has called me any names. In middle school, I don't think anyone straight up called me "emo" or "scene" or whatever. People actually ASKED me if I was "emo" or "scene"! I just said "Sorry, I don't label myself". But there was this one group of "Scene" wannabees. They were so annoying and they hated me. One girl told one of my friends that she didn't like me and she said I was trying to be "scene" but really, I was just being myself. Other than that, I wasn't constantly labeled. On the internet, I get called scene a lot. Someone even called me a "scene hipster" once. o.o People call me scene because of the bands I like and my appearance. I don't like being labeled because I'm just being myself. :/

"Allegory": Happens all the time. For example, I was on the bridge with 2 of my friends. The one tazed me and I chased after him. My OTHER friend was like "ooh-la-la" and then I was like, "I would NOT go for him," and he said that he wouldn't go for me because I'm "EMO".. and then they kept on taunting me with "EMO" after that... I don't like that because I"M NOT EMO!!! But, I DO know that people have phases. Will I still wear kandi when I'm 30? No. But, that doesn't make you a certain label. These people are ASSUMING that youre "scene" just because you make kandi? There are tons of people that make kandi who aren't "scene". SO, obviously you know that its better not to label. As long as you know whats right and wrong, nothing else matters; let others say what they want. They'll just make THEMSELVES look bad..... happy>- I totally agree with @Allegory. The same thing happened to me a few months back and it pissed me off at first but now I'm like hey whatever just get a life and leave me alone but that whole soup can thing was a really good come back lol just brush it off and PLUR on doll happy

"RavenRose": Personally I'm of the mindset that people who don't understand or judge and label others are often insecure with themselves first that's why they feel the need to pick apart others... I would be like a duck and and just like water let what she said run off your back. You like making kandi. You want to live by and share the PLUR....Well then dang it do so!If she wants to throw labels around it just shows her maturity. I'm saying allllll this stuff because personally I've looooong stopped worrying about how others feel about me and what I like or don't...I'm living my life and spend my time here on this planet being MYSELF! Not who someone else may want me to be. You be you and SHINE when you do it :p PLUR on little Sister! love struck Beating Heart Hello Kitty Bear Thanks happy i try to not let people bring me down
