i think the otherkin thread was deleted, but i really wanna just mention- regarding the usage of the words "media" and "mediamate" instead of "source" and "sourcemate" to respect 'system-exclusive terms', i believe that terms like "sourcemate" actually originated from otherkin/alterhuman spaces. Don't quote me on that, I got that info from someone else, but system and alterhuman communities (and terminology) overlap and always have overlapped. You don't have to walk on eggshells to avoid using 'system terminology', ESPECIALLY if you're going to use terms that are so similar (and clearly just altered versions of) said 'system terminology'.
use whatever terms you want!!!! it's ok. -a system who is also otherkin/alterhuman
