i personally like dark fantasy or dystopian. i just finished vicious by v.e. schwab which was really good. there's an element of religious trauma so please be wary of that, but it follows two friends who grow to hate each other after a series of experiments they conduct together.

i know our host's favorite book series is the raven cycle, its a major source of comfort for zem. that series is a bit hard to explain, but has a huge focus on found family and inexplicable magic. it's not a depressing read at all, but it's not exactly funny either. honestly, it's quite good from what i've read of it. you didn't hear it from me, but the author is trash, and hypothetically the books are easy to pirate. all hypotheticals

crush by richard siken and the collected poems of sappho are our favorite poetry books if you enjoy that kind of thing. /pos

i'd also recommend the hobbit if you've never read it. it's such an endearing book.

where I live I don’t have fall break so I’m probably like the worst to come to for this advice but anyways

I go on a lot of walks and stuff and just blast music it’s so fun man and also I go thrifting, I draw, make playlists, just anything time consuming really
