@YUM_CYANIDE: i went to see the violent femmes!! they're an eighties alt-rock punk-adjacent band that's so good!! they were so goddamn (excuse my word choice but i can not downplay how good they were) good it was crazy.

@arefriendselectric: if it’s small, there probably shouldn’t be too much to be careful of, especially if it’s a smaller artist.

@Sleepy_Loss: yes!!! most of the concerts I've been to had a mosh pit. neither of them were punk (jack white and black label society) i don't think any1 got hurt but its still best to be super careful

check the venue's rules! some of them have peculiar requirements. also check the band's rules!! one band i saw didn't allow cans or bottles to be served because ppl threw them and they hurt.

stop by the merch place (if there's one) i didn't get to go at one of the concerts i went to and i rlly regret it

wear comfy clothes!!! obvi u still wanna look cool but i don't suggest big platforms bc there will b lots of standing

bring sum1 w/ u!! concerts r more fun together. also its harder to get kidnapped if there's sum1 with u

don't be on ur phone. i went to a phone-less concert and it was the best one i've been too. it was so much more fun to be actively watching the band and participating in the crowd than to be recoring it

stay!!!!! hydrated!!!!!!

if there's a mosh pit, be careful!! moshing can b fun but lots of ppl have gotten hurt, so just make sure to pay attention to ur surroundings if there is one and ur in it

OOO wut band/artist is it??? im mainly gonna tell u 2 bring earplugs if yr sensative 2 loud music, also check the bag policy!!!! oh and if u plan on buying merch, research b4 hand, lines can get long so its good 2 have a desicion 4 wut u want 2 get, the rest of the line will thank u happy

also if theres a mosh pit, BE SAFE!! if its getting 2 intense, leave!!

EAT BEFORE YOU GET TO THE VENUE !!! food there will most likely be expensive as all hell, or it might not even have foot in the first place.

CHECK BAG RULES CHECK BAG RULES CHECK BAG RULES.

bring a lot of water, and know where the restrooms are. Trust me, you’ll need it.

Also be sure to go with a friend/guardian if you can and STICK TOGETHER, it’s important for safety and overall convenience.

nosebleed seating. it's not that bad.

every concert ive been in has been in the nosebleeds and yk what

my autistic ass loved it

i can't be in crowds. as a short king, i like being up high. the dippin dots line was like 2 people.

you can still hear and see the music

i am a nosebleed apologist.

check bag rules! some venues require bags of a certain size, some require clear bags, and some require a combination of both! it's the worst feeling to have to leave your stuff in the car

try to bring in your own water or water bottle, even if its a plastic one. water is often WAYYYY overpriced at venues, so it's a lot more affordable to bring your own. trust me, you'll defo need water

wear steel toed boots incase of people stepping on you. it causes a lot less damage.

SPEAKING OF PEOPLE STEPPING ON YOU,,, MOSH PITS. if you get in or around a mosh pit, make sure to block areas of your body like your head. even if the musician isn't punk, mosh pits can start pretty easily at most concerts, so doing research about mosh safety is going to be crucial.

that's all i can think of!!! good luck!!
