Identity help?????

Ok so like... idk. I feel like dogs are a really big part of my identity but idk if theres like a name for what I'm feeling. Like I don't spiritually identify with dogs so I don't think I'm a therian and I don't really like pup/pups pronouns so I don't think I'm pupgender but idk. I am a furry but I think this feels different then that. But like when I think of myself I think of a dog. Like I don't literally think I'm a dog but yea. And when people call me "puppy" or talk to me like I'm a dog or refer to me as a dog I get really happy. Does anyone have any advice?

you could be doghearted maybe? it is similar to dogkin, but rather than identifying as a dog, you indentify with dogs. i’d suggest looking into the term otherhearted & seeing if you feel that describes you!

well you don't have to use pup pronouns to be pupgender but like the others are saying maybe dogkin?

Im thinking maybe dogkin (otherkin) or a petdreamer (aka someone who have a practice/headspace/experience of a pet or animal and act it out. the headspace is usually controlled by the pet dreamer but not always. this can be done for many different reasons, such as coping, for fun, for a pet lifestyle, for aesthetic, and much more. pet dreaming is sfw by the way!)

If you don't think it's spiritual you might still be dogkin! Being otherkin can stem from a lot of different sources, from spiritual to psychological.
